Printed black and red postcard showing an illustration by Louis Wain of ten black cats with red collars above the verse “There'll be no end of the tales we'll tell, When you are home once more as in days of yore, Meantime may you keep strong and well, And merry as a wedding-bell”.
Published by The Alphalsa Publishing Co Ltd, London, The Alpha Postcard, No 361.
Postally used on 6 July 1918 with Brighton cancellation on red one penny stamp and sent to Miss D. Ballard, Holmes Hill, Chiddingley, Sussex, England.
Fairly good condition, with slight corner bumps and medium album marks, but nibble from bottom of the right edge and small 4mm and 2mm tears to centre and centre right of the top edge.
