Original U.S. 27 inch x 41 inch 1-Sheet Poster for the 1953 David Butler Musical BY THE LIGHT OF THE SILVERY MOON, suggested by the Penrod novels by Booth Tarkington and starring Doris Day, Gordon MacRae, Leon Ames and Rosemary DeCamp.
Sequel to On Moonlight Bay. The trials and tribulations of the Winfield family in small town Indiana as Marjorie Winfield’s boyfriend, William Sherman, returns from the Army after World War I. Bill & Marjorie’s on-again, off-again provide the backdrop for other family issues, primarily brought on by little brother Wesley’s overactive imagination and tall tales.
The poster is in very good folded condition.
