Seller's Description
This is a postcard showing “les chiens de rue”, or stray dogs in the street", on a card with greetings from Constantinople (now Istanbul), Turkey. The sender's message on the front says, “thousands of them - no owners but may not be killed - awful beasts - but Jeanie likes them”.
The card has an undivided back and was posted from the city in 1906 with a French Levant stamp and postmark.
The card is in fair condition with some wear to the corners and edges.
