Hi and welcome to Uk laptops

We are a company based in the southwest of England who only deal with Dell laptops , parts and repairs . We do not deal with other makes which means we can stock over £70000 worth of parts .If we have not got it in stock we can get it for you , so just ask.

A few common questions we get asked:

Q. Are all your parts new?

A. No not all but the majority are and we list the condition ie new , refurbished or 2nd user

A. How can you sell something so much cheaper than Dell ?

Q. Our over heads are far less and we beleive a laptop should not be thrown away and will not try and sell a replacement laptop to you unlike the some.

Q. How long have you been in business ?

A. We have been selling and repairing Dell laptops for over 5 yrs and we all have over 10yrs experience each.

Q. What is the part number listed on your listings?

A. Every Dell part has a unique part number , some are interchangable but if in doubt please ask.

Q. Why do you list by part number and not a global describtion?

A. Each laptop can have a variaty of parts fitted ie a motherboard for 1 Latitude D810 might not fit all D810 laptops.

Q. Can you fit the parts for me?

A. The majority of things we sell we can offer free fitting , the only additional cost is postage.

Q. Why have you got no ratings yet or a low rating?

A. We have a high rating on ebay 650+ however have decided to move away from ebay for the very reasons why you are here , to many scams , to many false listings and no protection for the buys or sellers.

Warranty and Testing

All Items we sell will carry one of the following warranty's

Untested= Item has not been tested and no warranty at all is implied or given on this item

DOA= Item comes with a dead on delivery warranty and any faults must be reported within 48hrs of delivery failure to do so will invalidate the warranty

Fixed term warranty = Item describtion will state the term the warranty is fixed for

The buyer is responsable for postage costs under a warranty claim.

Uk laptops will not be responsable for any damaged/lost items returned to us under warranty so please send items back insured .

If an item is returned under warranty as faulty and item is tested to be as described we will refund the price of the item minus postage charge and a restocking fee will apply . 

Warranty exceptions:

All our items are security marked and sealed any sign of tampering will invalidate the warranty.

When item is tested with dell diagnostics some parts may not be tested ie speaker output/tv output/modem on some motherboards or dvd writing on some DVD writers .Please beaware of this when purchasing.This does normally only occure on parts as complete laptops we can test built up.

We do not cover any item against power surges , water damage , electro static discharge .It is down to the buyer to ensure suitable protection is used.

We do not cover accidental/malicious damage to items or careless packing when items are returned.It is the buyers responsabilty to return all items in the same condition as they where supplied.

We do not normally accept items back because the wrong item has been ordered by the buyer. We always state the part number on all our sales and it is the buyers responsabilty to order the correct item.Unless we advise that parts are interchangable.

We might accept items back if ordered by mistake however this is down to the descretion of UK Laptops and a restocking fee will be applied.

Please be advised when you sign for an item you are signing for the item received in good condition , If you are in any doubt please sign for as damaged . All items are packed in a method that will prevent damage as much as possable , as such damage in transit will not be honoured by our couriers if signed for in good order by the customer .
