I have always been fascinated with orchids but never attempted to grow them, but I finally decided to give it a try in the early fall of 2011. My choice of Cattleya species orchids, as my primary focus, was purely by accident: a lucky accident! Without much knowledge about orchids, I decided to purchase a set of five seedlings being offered by an online seller: All these seedlings happened to be Cattleya species orchids. And that is how I decided to be a grower of Cattleya species orchids.
However, in order to keep my orchid collection focused and manageable, I also decided to grow only the seventeen classic Cattleya species, with a few extras, discussed by Arthur A. Chadwick and Arthur E. Chadwick in their wonderful book, The Classic Cattleyas.
Now, sometimes, I list some of my extra seedlings or divisions on online auctions; this helps me support my hobby while also keeping me in touch with other orchid lovers. Sometimes I also list rare coins and useful books.

Shipping & Handling
While shipping costs are posted for all listings, unless an item is listed as a stand-alone shipping item, I can combine items that are paid with one invoice for a small extra charge. For Orchids, I will add $2/ additional plant.
Please ask for an invoice before paying if you want to combine shipping.
Orchids will be shipped through USPS Priority Mail on first Monday after a sale is finalized.
