Descriptions

I describe items honestly and in detail, to the best of my ability, including any defects I notice.  All my photographs are of the actual item in question, not a similar one or catalogue picture etc. 

In the unlikely event that you feel I have failed to describe adequately any defects, please contact me before leaving feedback and I will do my best to resolve the situation to your satisfaction.  Please see my return policy (below).


Payment
I prefer payment by bank transfer, or if you are not in a great hurry to receive your item, cheque or postal order, but will accept payment by PayPal, PPPay or Nochex.  To pay by bank transfer, simply ask for my account details.

If your PPPay account is new, please be aware that payments will not be completed until you complete their 'penny check' validation test. 
I am currently only able to hold £90 at a time in PPPay and Nochex - please bear this in mind and make contact before paying by these methods.

Delivery
I send items by Royal Mail 1st Class 'Recorded/Signed For' (Special Delivery for items over £41) within 3 working days of cleared payment and will provide you with the tracking number once I have sent the item(s).  This makes any claim for non-delivery straightforward.    In the case of non-delivery, contact me after 15 days and I will arrange your refund.

I attempt to estimate the actual cost of postage and do not charge extra for packing/handling or to try to cover any fees incurred.  My estimates tend to result in below-cost postage for the customer far more often than in a small overcharge.


Return Policy
If you are unsatisfied with your purchase and wish to return the item(s), you must notify me of your intention to do so within 3 days from the date of receipt of the goods and use 1st Class Recorded Delivery to return the goods within 7 days.  Goods must be returned in the condition they were received in and packed to a similar standard.

I will refund the cost of the item + the original P&P charge, only once the goods are received back in their original condition.  The cost of return postage is your own responsibility.  That way we share the postage costs equally - I think that is fair.  I may be prepared to refund return postage costs in genuine cases where the item is not as described.

In the event that goods are lost or damaged in transit during return, no refund will be given and any claim against the carrier will be your own responsibility (although I will give any assistance required).  Please retain your proof of posting, you will need it in the event that a claim becomes necessary.
