DVD REGIONAL CODING

All DVDs on sale at CMC Entertainment Store have different Regional Formats.



There are six world Regions for DVD.

Discs manufactured in one region will usually only play on players that were manufactured in the same region, so discs bought in the USA will not play on U.K. players and vice versa.

However, the regional coding system is entirely optional and discs without Regional Codes will play on any player in any country.

Please check the map above to make sure our DVDs will be able to play on your DVD machine. Please check your DVD manual, or with the manufacturer, if in doubt. If you are still not sure just Contact Us.

Region 01 - NTSC Encoding:
Canada, U.S., U.S. Territories.

Region 02 - PAL Encoding: Albania, Andorra, Austria, Bahrain, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Canary Islands, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, European Union, Faroe Islands, Finland, France, France, Georgia, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Greenland, Hungary, Iceland, Iran (Islamic Republic of) Iraq, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kuwait, Latvia, Lebanon, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia (the Former Yugoslav Republic), Malta, Moldova, Principality of Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Russian Federation, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Syrian Arab Republic, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United Kingdom (Channel Islands) Vatican City State, Yemen, Yugoslavia

Region 06: China

An example of cross formats. If you buy a Region 4 DVD which is encoded to PAL - There is around 99% that the particular DVD will play on a Region 2 DVD and a PAL TV.

If you buy a Region 1, NTSC encoded DVD, this will not play on a UK Region 2 DVD player IF its not 'unlocked' or designed to do so.

BLU-RAY REGIONS

All Blu-Ray DVDs on sale at CMC Entertainment Store have different Regional Formats.





There are three world Regions for Blu-Ray.

The Blu-ray Disc region coding scheme divides the world into 3 regions, labeled A, B, and C.

Region A Most North, Central and South American and Southeast Asian countries plus Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan and Korea.

Region B Most European, African and southwest Asian countries plus Australia and New Zealand.

Region C Contains the remaining central and south Asian countries, as well as China and Russia.

Please look in indiviual auctions for the Blu-Ray regions, as you will need compatiable equipment if you do buy outside your region.

CMC Entertainment also stocks Confirmed Region Free Blu-Ray titles.

This means that they are not region coded and will play on ANY Blu-Ray player.

Bank Transfer
If you pay via Bank Transfer, and your bank is signed up to the UK Faster Payments Service, your payment should be in our account the same day! Please check your bank for any limits set - because over a certain amount, it will take 3-5 working days to clear into our account. Our details are available on request.

Cheque Payments
If any UK winning bidders are paying via Cheque/PO/Bankers Draft, please include the auction details to stop any unnecessary delays.

Please allow a minimum of 5 working days for your payment to clear from your account to ours.

Note to all International Bidders
International bidders will be given an automatic refund if bidders do not get a quote before checking out. This will stop any unnecessary delays and inconvenience to both the bidder and the seller.

Non-Paying Bidders will be reported to eBid, Negative feedback left, and at our discretion put on our Blackball List so you will not be able to bid on any of our future auctions.

Our Refund Policy
Region 1 DVDs are meant solely for use in the USA and Canada. It is your responsibility to make sure that goods purchased from CMC Entertainment are compatible with your playing and/or viewing equipment. We do not accept liability for the compatibility of RCE encoded region 1 DVDs on multi-region or region-free DVD players. Please check the regional encoding on the back of the box before opening. We will not refund or exchange any DVD that is incompatible with your playing and/or viewing equipment. No refunds will be given to any item that is in anyway incompatible with your system. We advise that if you are not sure that the product will not be compatible with your system, ask us a question, purchase a Service package with your order [if applicable]; or refrain from bidding. Any other refunds will be dealt on a case-by-case basis.

Our Feedback Policy
Appropriate feedback is always left when you have given us feedback via your MyEbid in which then alerts us that you are satisfied with your purchase. We will then respond and leave you feedback.

Mail Order Only - NO COLLECTIONS ARE AVAILABLE.
Dispatch Times & Lost Items - Delivery is normally within 2-7 working days from dispatch, but please allow up to 28 days for delivery [for certain and specified items]. We will always email you on the date of dispatch to let you know your items are on the way, and supply a tracking reference if applicable. Any other delays caused by the postal system are out of our control - Please keep this in mind. Any questions, just ask.
