What would be your priority?

Maybe the list to choose from is too long and it's taking folks ages to decide the order they would like to see improvements ... I'm sure it isn't because very few people want improvements LOL

Yes the list is long, in fact it grows all the time, which is part of the problem. It's not that people don't want improvements, they do, lots of them, preferably "their idea" of an improvement, preferably implemented yesterday.

• Featured being the default, has been changed as requested.
• 4 more countries are soon to be added.

• The US postage calculator, seems to have worked in the main for the US.

But because of that the changes in the invoicing introduced as part of that feature, ability to discount, the ability for the buyer to choose postage if more than one type is offered, seem to be causing major headaches in the UK at the moment.
Which must have bumped the,
US postage calculator right to the top of most UK sellers lists.

• Get Rid of the blinking red 'R's
• Ability to report Seller's other listings &/or report Seller
• Clearer policies on items that are banned in some countries & not others.

Have all been brought up on these forums since this started.

Which goes back to my original post on the other thread really, if we cannot decide as users, & so far no two people do agree in their lists. Most people have only picked out a few as a priority. In fact I'm not even sure my list would be the same if I did it again today.

How on earth DO the guys decide?

I think I’d divide the requests into categories and prioritise accordingly.

1/. Factors that affect sales. (adding new markets etc.)
Eg. new country sites etc.

2/. Factors that affect listing. (making more stuff available ASAP)
Eg. bulk listing, bulk edit, updating categories etc.

3/. Factors that affect convenience.
Eg. Invoicing, number of watchers, holiday settings etc.

Gothicina: Here is a list of changes or additions that Gazza & Mark are currently being requested to make to the site, not in any particular order.
What order of importance would you choose?

• Being able to search completed/sold listings (for trend/research purposes)
• Bulk edit/update for all or selected items (especially shipping cost changes)

• Best Offer or Haggle
• Having a discount/sale faculty
  
• Ninja/Turbo lister
• More visibility for bidding activity and removal of flashing reserve icon!

• The eBid API (not sure what this is!)

• Wanting Separate My Notices for each Store
• Print Invoices/Packing Slips Option
• Updating and consolidating categories
• Additional Server Space
• Let people from non-eBid sites join as Buyers only
• Enabling a seller to list by Auction Finishing Time
• Add the ability to edit existing listing to change type, add/remove "extras".
• Automated Unpaid Item Dispute
• Tidy up & expansion of Banned Items List

No, that's not what I want.. what I want is for ebid to take responsibility for the frequent and repeated breaches of their listing policies. I've reported Louis Vuitton items almost every day for several months. It would save ebid time if a staff member did the search and ended the items but they don't. So I've stopped. Like I said, I won't get rich if ebid goes really well.

Invoicing with a basket (for combined items and so a customer doesn't have to learn/find where all the bits and bobs that Ebid are!).

With an override- once I've agreed a price with a customer I just want to write it in -if the discounts are important then they can be written in too. But and this is a big BUTwhen I've quoted postage shipping, I can't have Ebid not allowing me to fulfill my quotation. It makes me look either dishonest/stupid or at best incompetent.

So a return/overide basic invoice would be my my priority- in fact crucial when the invoicing goes 'pear shaped!.

Look, bid, buy. With as few steps in between as possible -no obstacles. Please.

My priorities have suddenly changed. I may be going into hospital tonight, and it could be for as long as a month (it was as long as that last time I had this problem, five years ago).

So right now, this moment, I need to be able to take all of my listings off-line. And, I cannot, I do not have time. The best I can do is put a too-easy-to-miss 'Notice from the seller' up.

whatever changes ebid introduce- my requests are:
1. that the changes are notified in advance of the change ( days not hours please!)
2. That where possible ebid seek volunteers to beta test the changes- so that we don't always have to go through the same anxt process!
3. That any changes made are necessary and constitute improvements to the site. Sometimes things whch are working well and no one has complained about- get changed for no apparent reason! ( latest example being the changes to feedback which are very glytchy)
