Thread: After eight years - leaving Feebay !!

  1. #1

Thumbs up After eight years - leaving Feebay !!

Hi ! My name is Betty Johnson, and I just signed up with ebid after selling on Ebay for close to eight years- with Power Seller status. I am at a loss to explain what happened with ebay, but sales have trickled downhill for the past several months (maybe even the past YEAR) The new policies are not running me off- do not LIKE them, but the only thing that has pushed me to a new auction site- is the lack of sales on ebay- Just do NOT know where all the bidders went suddenly. This looks like a great site, and I realize it will take 'time' to realize sales here, and I haven't started listing yet- but, I will- and considering the 'Lifetime' membership.......So- I'm, once again, a 'Newbie' and hope 'This is the ONE'.....I've only heard good things about ebid !!

    hi
you have to do a little work on here selling wise but heres everything you need

http://helpdesk.ebid.net/showthread.php?t=100837 getting started a few tips
if you run a website or a simple webspace eg: myspace etc. drop a ebid search box into it
    http://helpdesk.ebid.net/showthread.php?t=94751 (it`s simple even i did it )
    http://helpdesk.ebid.net/showthread.php?t=95311 get ebid logo`s etc.
http://helpdesk.ebid.net/showthread.php?t=95239 add ebid search to your browser
http://helpdesk.ebid.net/showthread.php?t=101126 scrolling pictures of your auctions
escrow srvices this is uk based and 100% genuine http://auctionchex.com/escrow-s.html

remember you need to do this to get your items onto google
Google doesn't accept items that are auction only, they have to have a BuyNow price, but they can have an auction price as well.eBid upload ALL eligable items to google products 3 times a month,To qualify for uploads items need to be:
    1) Legal
    2) have a BuyNow price
    3) Have at least 7 days remaining OR are On First Bid OR are Run Until Sold at 5am on the 8th, 18th and 28th of each month

i use mostly run until sold with bin price
    for exporting fb use http://auctionfb.com/
you can add your signature to emails using your buddy point link (from myebid) click on buddy points
scroll down and copy paste to your email signature
also add the buddy points signature to your auction descriptions has someone may click your link through google it will give them incentive to join and buy tell them it is free to join

good luck dave & all others who compiled this list
i am updating this as much as i can when finding things so please be patient and follow all thats on here already

Hi Betty, A warm welcome. I've just come back here after four years on the other side with power seller status. Don't forget to start emailing all your old customers to let them know where you have gone. You have twice as many to do as me !!! Come and say hello on 'The Kitchen Table' when you are set up so we can all come and have a nose at what you sell !

Hi and welcome, I think Greedbay forgot that alienating the small sellers also lost them a lot of buyers as well, they are now buying from their new homes. A good move is to email all your old customers and tell them where you are after you've got yourself a bit sorted.

Welcome to ebid best of luck.
Feebay seem to be more keen to promote off site sales outlets than the stores we run.

Just wondering...are you the same "ex-bayer" I told about this site the other day? I'm just checking to see if my posts are having any kind of impact over there! I posted over there under the user name "thelorax00."

Regardless if you are or are not....WELCOME!!!
