Sepia real photographic postcard showing a view of soldiers and policemen guarding the Balham Intermediate Signal Box at Tooting Bec on the London, Brighton & South Coast Railway line in south-east London during the General Railway Strike in August 1911.
Publisher not stated, not numbered, 1911.
Postally unused, but with short note to the back.
Fairly good condition, with slight corner wear, but 25mm tear to left centre of top edge, secured with tape to the back, and crease to bottom left corner. The Cornovia Postcards watermark does not appear on the actual card and is merely to protect the image.
