The MJQ performs 5 pieces by John Lewis and Joaquin Rodrigo live at Jazzgipfel, Stuttgart, 1992 during their 40th anniversary tour. The Modern Jazz Quartet, one of the most successful and enduring line-ups in the history of jazz, gave an exceptional concert to mark their 40th anniversary. Together with the Arcata Chamber Orchestra conducted by Patrick Strub, the Modern Jazz Quartet featuring John Lewis (piano), Milt Jackson (vibraphone), Percy Heath (bass) and Mickey Roker (drums), played at Jazzgipfel 1992 in Stuttgart. A unique performance by a unique band. The group performed some of their most challenging pieces, including:
