Seller's Description
1925 was the year Columbia switched from the old method of acoustically recorded pressings to the new electric recording process licensed from Western Electric. This company has a long history, dating back to 1888, and was one of the "Big Three" in recording companies, competing with Edison and Victor. They remain the oldest continually used brand name in recorded sound, now owned by Sony Music since 1988.
This early 1950's recording is in decent condition! Grading at very good with some visible playwear. Mostly clean with moderate scuff and scratch marks. Some background noise is present.
Side CO 52581 features the pop vocal, "Marionette", and side CO 52581 plays the favorite of, "Let Me Go Lover", Joan's only #1 hit. Both melodies are sung by the memorable voice of Joan Weber with the Jimmy Carroll Orchestra, and are 1950's era memories!
