Seller's Description
1925 was the year Columbia switched from the old method of acoustically recorded pressings to the new electric recording process licensed from Western Electric. This company has a long history, dating back to 1888, and was one of the "Big Three" in recording companies, competing with Edison and Victor. They remain the oldest continually used brand name in recorded sound, now owned by Sony Music since 1988.
This mid-1940's recording is in superb condition! Grading at near-mint with extremely light and incidental playwear on a high gloss surface. Clear audio throughout.
Side CO 37421 presents the fox trot, "I Wonder, I Wonder, I Wonder", with a vocal chorus by Tony Pastor, and side CO 37447 offers the melody, "Meet Me At No Special Place". Both fox trots are performed by the fabulous Tony Pastor and his Orchestra, and are OUTSTANDING 1940's Big Band sounds!
