Seller's Description

B & R DVD Volume 46 – Steam Routes West (The Western Way)

I quote from the box:

‘A journey to the West Country via the Great Western Railway. This is a story mainly of branch lines and secondary services, connecting with the main line from Paddington, Reading, Gloucester, Bristol and Tiverton in 1963.
The Chalford auto service along the Golden Valley and a visit to the Hemyock branch when A4 pacific ‘Mallard’ visited Tiverton in 1963.
An extensive look at the Teign Valley route between Exeter and Newton Abbot via Christow and its branch to Moretonhampstead via Bovey, all in colour, just before it closed to passengers; 14xx and 45xx classes are the motive power.
Totnes to Ashburton in 1958, again before its closure to passengers. Compare it with the South Devon Railway of today.
Over Rattery to Plymouth with a visit to Laira shed followed by the last ‘Castles’ to the city in 1964. Journey by steam over the Royal Albert Bridge at Saltash to see traffic into Cornwall when the ‘Cornish Riviera Express’ was still steam hauled plus Castle, Grange and County classes.
And back to Paddington with ‘City of Truro’, a County, Hall and Castle.’

Running time is approx 60 minutes.

I am not sure about the compatibility of overseas DVD players with UK DVDs.  If this is being purchased for overseas use, please ensure that your video player is compatible.

The DVD will be posted in a good quality padded envelope.

If you buy multiple items I will adjust the postage and packing costs appropriately.

From UK buyers I accept payment by PayPal, UK Cheque or Postal Order. Non-UK buyers must pay by PayPal.
