David A Seamands was born of missionary parents in India. A graduate of Asbury College, he received the M Div from Drew Theological Seminary and the M A from Hartford Seminary Foundation. He and his wife, Helen, served as Methodist missionaries in India for sixteen years.
For twenty two years the pastor of the United Methodist Church of Wilmore, Kentucky, he is now professor of pastoral ministries at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore.
The Seamands have three children and seen grandchildren.
