Legends Brass opened its doors in 2010 with a philosophy of providing the best trumpet mouthpieces available today while serving our customers with the most efficient and friendly customer service possible. Many of our mouthpieces are inspired by the legends of the mouthpiece world, with improvements and upgrades made possible by modern technology. Rather than recreate the wheel, we took the existing wheel and gave it wings! Our standard of quality is impeccable, as our customers will tell you. And just as important, our business philosophy is that our customers will be served with efficiency and courtesy. Simply put, we believe our customers deserve the best quality, best price, and best service possible. You deserve the best trumpet mouthpiece for you!

The Legends Brass catalog is made up of a variety of models: some original designs and some inspired by the legendary greats of the trumpet mouthpiece world. None of our mouthpieces are copies! Models inspired by legendary trumpet mouthpieces have been updated somewhat from the original specifications in order to improve endurance, intonation, range and slotting. Design modifications generally incorporate the Legends Brass throat size, throat cylinder length, and backbore. All models come standard with a #5 sleeve to ensure proper fit with typical trumpet mouthpiece receivers. Backbores have been carefully chosen for each model based on the expected style of playing with that model. Customers can choose from a variety of blanks for each model. And if none of our standard models are perfect for you, Legends Brass can create a custom mouthpiece to your specifications. Customer satisfaction is our highest priority! 

About Me:
My name is Derek and for as long as I can remember I've been on a quest to find the perfect trumpet mouthpiece. Over the years I've bought, played, and sold countless mouthpieces, tops, backbores and trumpets. If it is out there, I've probably tried it. Through this extensive research I would often find a rim I liked, but the cup, throat, and/or backbore were wrong. This went on and on until I finally had a few custom pieces created. I decided to focus on merging different pieces, and found that a lot of the best pieces on the market were real close to being perfect for me but still needed a little tweaking. This was the beginning of my Legends mouthpiece design.

This Legends Brass Trumpet Mouthpieces thing is a side venture for me. I'm not ready to give up my desk job, yet. But playing trumpet is a hobby which I am very passionate about. I'm a spread and blow kind of guy, and had the time of my life wailing on La Fiesta in DCA's CorpsVets back in 2007. I also play regularly in church, so I have respect for the more legit style of playing. I'm very hopeful that some of my experience can be used to help my clients have the satisfaction of finding and playing the perfect mouthpiece, top, or backbore for them. Above all I'm committed to providing excellent customer service and the best possible workmanship on all Legends products. 

I've been very fortunate to have a loving wife that puts up with my loud and high playing. Watching my two little girls play their first notes on the trumpet is inspiration enough to continue building this business!
