Interesting siege issue in collectible condition issued under the rule of Louis XVIII at the beginning of His reign. Due to siege the garrison experienced lack of coins in circulation, that is why the local coins were issued to solve the problem. This coin bears R above date. It is the initial of Ransonnet. Coins with R were minted in 22 April and 2 May 1814 in total mintage just 52760 pcs. With the help of this coin the complete classification of this short emission was finalized and published.
