Although I subscribed to eBid in 2013, I have not actively been using the account until January 2015 - Previously I was selling on eBay and have now transferred to eBid.

I am a stamp collector (Philately), my collection area is basically British Colonial Southern Africa - Collecting Mint and Used examples of each:

BASC, including Admirals and Double Heads,
North and South Rhodesia,
Rhodesia & Nyasaland, Rhodesia - UDI to 1978,
Pre Union of South Africa States - ( Natal, Zululand, Transvaal, ORC, CoGH),
Union of South Africa to 1990,
Republic of South Africa to 1990,
South West Africa to 1990,

I sell duplicate and stamps I have acquired over time..and from collections and purchases I have made and sell on items not collecting ..

I am South African, but came to UK in 1983, although have returned a few times, nowadays I mainly visit on holidays.. I work within Facilities Management.

Looking to ensure that the eBid experience is positive for both parties, therefore thought is useful to outline some principles to avoid misunderstandings:

Condition & Quality:
Because condition can be subjective, I always list my items condition as "please inspect image" Please satisfy yourself of the quality and condition, if you need more information or clarification please contact me - I will be more than happy to send images or provide specific detail you need to make your decision.

Postage:
I do not inflate postage costs and only look to recover the cost of Postage & Packaging, and have set a number of options for National and International postage as a default, allowing you to choose the level you prefer.

I am happy to combine postage for multiple purchases over £5.00. I will discount postage for MULTIPLE purchases over £50.00, dependent on the item - Please ask!!

NB: Royal mail cover upto to the value of £20.00 for standard mail - please bear this in mind when choosing which option or level of postage. The claiming procedure can take up to 3 months!! For items more than £20.00 I suggest you choose "Signed For"

I always obtain proof of postage - Should a mail item be mislaid - I will process a claim request via Royal Mail, if you have chosen regular mail the maximum I could rebate you will be in line with Royal Mail policy, which currently is £20.00 - Please bear this in mind when choosing your postage levels!
