About Meg
In 2004 I was introduced to the role playing game community. I was attending college at Arizona State studying Anthropology and working as an archaeologist. A friend told me about the game of Dungeons and Dragons and I went to go see a session. It was at this session that I learned about miniatures. I had always enjoyed artistic pursuits and participated in many crafts growing up.
Interested in the game for relaxation and the miniatures to sate my artistic cravings I started learning the game. A friend showed me the basics of miniature painting but when I saw the wonderfully painted miniatures online and in the local game store, Game Depot, I decided I wanted to learn the art of miniature painting.
Since then I have joined the miniature painting community online where I found many encouraging people who taught me some of the tricks of the trade.
Experience
I have painted for several companies including Reaper Miniatures Inc and Crunch-Waffle Enterprises. I also take private commissions from time to time selling to clients all over the world. I have pieces residing in the US, England, France, Italy, Canada, and Australia to name a few.
I also holds a Master's of Information Systems from the University of Phoenix. I am returning to Graduate School for a Second Bachelors in Studio Arts with a concentration in Drawing and Painting. I aspire to be an illustrator when I grow up :o)
