Some Information About Librum
Giving you a little more insight into the seller.
The Librum
"Ever wanted to know what your grandparents knew? Thee can." ™
Yes, bad english, it is a quote!
In existence since 1993, the Librum of Amana University, uses various auction sites to search for and buy copyright-clear materials in the homesteading, how-to, and certain scientific genre.
These works are used as training materials for students to learn hard and soft book restoration.
Hard restoration is restoring via stitching, etc. Soft is electronic.
Electronic restorations, in eBook format are available at our site.
The student receives a percentage of each sale.
We also, from time to time, use auction sites to clear overstocks or superseded versions of our 'grab-bag' disks, and 'hard-copy duplicates'.
Our current project is the restoration, for free use, of the International Correspondence School materials stored here.
ICS was based in Scranton, in existence from 1897 to 1996, and was the largest correspondence school in existence.
The restored works are available for free at the ICS Archive. (Sorry, rules preclude giving the url).
All works offered by TheLibrum are protected under collection copyright in the United States and/or the United Kingdom.
All works offered by TheLibrum are checked at the Copyright Office prior to making a restoration available.
If you feel we have 'stepped on' your rights, please contact us, we are happy to work with, educate, and if need be assist you.
(It has been our experience that most such claims are made out of innocent ignorance)
