Having gotten fed up with eBay as a buyer who was tired of getting ripped off by sellers with shoddy products, poor shipping and excessive handling charges, I decided to look around and see what else is out here in so-called "cyberland."   I chanced upon eBid and was immediately attracted by the no fees aspect.

As an eBay buyer and seller,  I developed feedback especially lauding me for quality products and fast, cost-effective shipping as a seller, and equally fast payment as a buyer (even though I rarely got the same kind of service as a buyer that I give as a seller).  I try to treat people as I wish to be treated.  Simple as that.

I am on fixed income, a retiree who is trying to supplement his income to at least stay afloat.  I also have developed my own web site where I not only offered products for sale, I tried to provide helpful links that all of us can use.  I offer PayPal here as a payment choice.  You can bid or buy with confidence from me.

I am self-taught about computing, and my experiences go all the way back to early Apples, DOS-based PC, Commodore 64 and even some offbeat systems (anybody remember the "Adam?").  I have become fairly proficient with Mac's and have cross-platform experience from both a technical and application aspect.

 eBid is a viable alternative to almighty eBay.  It needs to be nurtured.
