Thread: Link back to eBid from your site.

  1. #81

Question Can I add a My eBid to my own website that links to my id

I'd like to link to ebid from my new site with the eBid ball but saying

"My eBid not just going to my own page, instead of putting the whole bit

    http://uk.ten.ebid.net/perl/normal.c...heir-all-about

I would also like to link the banners I display for all of my shops with a clickable link to them from emails and other sites. I've just copied and pasted these and they work here but don't know how to put them in mail signatures.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Books, All of my banners link back to my buddy link, and all of my products link back to each individual product. You want your banner to link to your buddy link so if the customer decided to open a store, or even join, you'll get the credit for it. Does that help?

    Hi Kimbo
Windows Vista Mail (I think - I leave that to the techie guy)
    Gramma
    Thanks that's interesting

I've just signed for Google, but found I can't put their buy now button in, so I'm a bit frustrated now. I'm using register.com, in case anyone else uses this platform I'd appreciate some help.

See what you think its oldandvintagecookbooks
    Either .co.uk or .com

Just sold 2nd book on that site, only £5.00. but I'm chuffed

I'm not sure you'll be able to use your banner in vista mail, since I've read that there is a 4KB size limit on sigs in that. But you can put a clickable link in, since it works with html. A straight copy and paste from here to there will probably work. Sorry to be so vague, although I have vista I use outlook and haven't touched vista mail!

Hi Kimbo thanks for reply - what's the outlook method, as I may have that on the other computer.
what do I copy kimbo? Think I'm a bit dense sometimesm, I understand a few bits, mainly by trial and error, sometimes I'm lost especially with Vista as it seems to have a mind of it's own ;-)
and in addition I really want the round ball to say My Ebid - is that possible??

Okay, to take this a step at a time...

First go to your signature here and select and copy what you have now. You can probably do this most simply from the post above this one! Highlight the text you want (your links) and press control-key and c at the same time to copy to your clipboard (computer memory). If you're swapping between machines you'll have to get here first.

Now open outlook and select from the top line menu > tools. From tools go to options. Then mail format, and select message format "html".

Now still in the same place select signatures. In signatures you should be on the "email signature" tab.

If you have none yet, select "new" and give your signature a name, such as "ebid sig". If you want to change an existing one, choose edit.

Now in your signature edit box paste in (control-key and press v at the same time) your links saved prevously.

    Save your sig.

    Done.

    Thank you kimbo

I will give that a try.

However, I still want to do it in Vista and I cannot for the life of me find out how to save a file as html to get it into signature.

    And the ball thingey.
