Default An observation to hand made card makers

Looking at some hand made cards today and noticed that none that I saw stated what postage rate they would go through the postal system at.

Many cards had applied decorations that could make their thickness push them into Royal Mail's Large Letter band.

I would normally avoid such cards as I don't feel the extra postage expense is justified for cards (Ok, I'm tight).

Commercial cards usually indicate their postal rate on them.

I, and maybe other potential buyers, would be happier buying if the postage band was stated on listings.

Just a thought; shoot it down if you want.

yes that is a good idea. I will start putting it on each relist as not all my cards are the same price. Big 8x8 cards actually have to go small parcel once they are packed. This means that although they are some of my prettier cards - they just don't sell.
I make my cards thicker because they stand out from plain flat shop bought ones and yes most go large letter @ 1.01. I thought that this would be an indication of what it would cost the buyer to post. I even offer to put a message in and post direct but no-one seems to want this service.

Just to be clear... I was talking about what it would cost the buyer to post the card on rather than what it costs you to deliver them - which could be more as you have card + envelope + packaging where the buyer only has card + envelope.
