Thread: Imminent influx of ex-ebay sellers?

  1. #1

Default Imminent influx of ex-ebay sellers?

I guess it's a recurring theme that ebay has lost the plot, but reading the community boards over there my impression is that lately there's even more uproar than usual.

    See https://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/Busi...t/td-p/6042934 as one example.

The question in my mind though is whether buyers will follow the resulting exodus.

They will if the sellers who have regular buyers let them know where to come and offer the same service they did on the other site

I tend to agree. Frankly, until the site shows better performance reaping any benefit from eBay's alienating its sellers will, in my opinion, continue to be negligible.

I agree as well , the buyers are not going to leave the bay as they are handing everything to them on a plate

I have lots of low priced items that I wanted to list. The other sites weren't the place for my odds and ends. Fees are too expensive. I'm still trying to build up my numbers so there is more to combine shipping on.

Googled and found eBid. I've learned a lot here. Not a lot of money out of my pocket for the learning experience either.

I keep hoping that more sellers with lots of stock would list and then really make an effort at their eBid shops, hanging around for a while so that there would be more variety here.

    Not holding my breath though.

I was there as well - doing rather nicely until their investors lost patience and everything went crazy.
