Why is Firefox not connected to this web site?
    Error message as follows:-

I connect to eBid using Firefox several times every day. In fact I have used Firefox to connect to eBid now to read the latest forum messages and reply to this one. So I'm not sure what is going wrong for you. I have never received this message when connecting to eBid although I have received it when trying to connect to other sites.

uk.x.ebid.net, where x can be one of several numbers, is a legacy (i.e. very old) URL from the early days of eBid. The correct URL is https://ebid.net/uk

The legacy address will still work as eBid will redirect anyone using it to the correct and current URL. However, some browser setups will view this redirection as a potential risk. Plus, if you are using that old address it is likely that you are also preceding it with http:// rather than https:// which will also be viewed as a risk which will throw up a warning by the browser.

Use the correct URL and you should have no problem.

Tony, your store page https://www.ebid.net/uk/stores/tony4...Britain-Stamps still has white text on a white background making parts of the store header unreadable.

I have pointed this out previously so if you don't want to fix it then fine and I will not raise the matter again.

I am getting the same error messages when I click on your links (using GC from USA)

    Bargainbooksbyones
    https://www.ebid.net/uk/stores/Bargainbooksbygones

Just in case Tony's blocked Astral and isn't seeing the messages.

Thank you for that information. Now I forgot how to change/add links. OK found it in settings top right and signature left. Thank you for showing me that.

Thanks for telling me. I do vaguely remember that you told me before but I can't remember why I didn't do anything at the time. It is so long since I set up my stores that I cannot remember how to put it right. Can you help me please?

What fascinates me is how Astral even knows that there's white text on a white background. Does he have some wonderful html checking utility or, more likely, X-ray vision?

It's in your store configuration in the section below:

    Name: Screenshot_20180814-163100.jpg
Views: 44
Size: 30.9 KB

Though there used to be a foreground and background colour choice for both the main and secondary colours. Seems that there is only a choice of three of those now. Just shows how out of touch i am with the workings of eBid nowadays. I've no idea when that change was made.

If eBid are now forcing both background colours to be the same that could be what has screwed up your store; it was probably ok before they did that.
