Thread: Tally Of Listing That Have Sold

  1. #1

Default Tally Of Listing That Have Sold

I see the numbers for "New Listings", "Gross Listing Value" and "Number of Listings Worldwide". I am very interested in seeing the "Value of Sold Items". It should be simple to include this number with the other shown tallies. If the percent is high of monies collected by sellers to the amount of listings, seems that would be incentive to list more. If the listing value is $3,526,861,731 and $1,000,000 sells that isn't much of a percentage. I am curious to know how much actually sells.

That is the sort of figure which no site is going to give you.

I'd like to see sold listings. We all know that various sellers have been asking to have a search function for sold listings for years, so I won't hold my breath.

There is a difference between being able to search for sold listings and eBid providing a value of sold listings as requested by the OP.

I'd really like to be able to search for sold listings too.

I suppose it would be good to have a total of how much money was actually brought in from the sales made on the site. However, the gross value of the total items listed is really meaningless since it is merely the total of the asking price with nothing to substantiate the validity of those prices. Likewise, the total number of listings, unless audited regularly and often, actually means very little.

Yes, I realise that there is a difference between the two. We are in agreement.

I have made the point to ebid several times that I am interested in becoming a lifetime seller but before I decide I need to be able to see sold listings without difficulty. It is easy to do this on eBay. ebid seem reluctant to show me what I want so thay are missing out on a member and I imagine there are many like me

I assume you mean to be able to search for "Sold" listings for "the whole site" as a general search function as opposed to being able to see your own "Sold" listings.

If that is the case, then yes that would be a good idea.

I don't think the site will alter a policy because one person says they won't join otherwise. I certainly wouldn't
