    Thank you for all the lovely birthday greetings troops. Have had a great day so far.

    The sun has been shining down here in Cornwall all day and I've actually got a bit sunburnt ! I've been round all the little art galleries in Mousehole today but the highlight of the morning had to be walking through a little backstreet and coming across an old chap walking two ferrets on a lead ... pmsl it could only happen in Cornwall ... they were beautiful animals and obviously enjoying their outing.

    Had a walk around the harbour at Newlyn and then stopped for a pint in Porthleven with a walk along the clifftops to see all the coastal erosion that happened this winter. It's quite amazing how fast the cliff has gone. My parents used to drive along those cliffs when I was a child and there is nothing left of the original road, just one piece of hedge.

    Going to a local pub tonight where my brother's band is playing so no doubt the Hendrick's gin will soon be gone !
