Thread: Buyer cancelled a purchase

    Default Buyer cancelled a purchase

    Someone clicked the Buy Now button, then sent me a message that "This was a mistake." I sent him a message"Do you wish to cancel the sale?" Yes, he did. So I cancelled and relisted the item.

    I did notice the buyer is a Seller+ with zero feedback, 20 Buddy Points, and one listing running.

    I do have a question. Am I stuck with the Final Value Fee? I've never had a request to cancel before.

    Yes, unless you send a message to support saying that it was buyer's remorse (those words not necessarily required!)

    I've just had 2 individuals over the past couple of days want to cancel a sale as well, both new buyers.

    It would be nice if the Buyer had the ability/button to cancel the sale, but unfortunately they don't.

    So it's either contact support, take the FVF hit, or send the individual 2 payment reminders and a Non-Paying Bidder mark.

    I would contact support and explain what has happened. They should cancel the sales and remove FVFs. At least, thatis what has happened to me in the past.
