Default Trying to switch to US Postage on someone's listing...

    re:
JACKIE ROBINSON, LEGENDS OF BASEBALL card
Tried to use the available edit button to switch the buyer destination to USA from UK, and despite trying to do this several times, this USA seller's item seems to default to UK postage. I would have it mailed to my US address. Why is it not switching view as usually happens with other seller's listings?? thanks

They probably don't have US as an allowed postal place, that's my guess anyway. Why not send a message to seller

Well, they are a US seller, so I think they have to automatically.

I had this problem on one of my listings about two or three weeks ago and emailed support about it. I wanted to find out the postage rate to Australia, the item already had a bid on it and I wanted to pack it in advance so needed to check what the postal rate was. I picked Australia from the list and pressed the postage edit button but the usual drop down box didn't appear at the top of the screen to take me to the Australian site and it just defaulted back to the UK like you said. I checked some other listings afterwards and it was working O.K. so it was just the one listing.

I would email support and tell them it has happened to you too.

Thanks, Cornish.....I might do that....or just ask the seller. The point is, it is a glitch, and this is the glitch reporting place I thought. Maybe they don't check here anymore.

I wouldn't hold your breath, they rarely seem to answer on the forums these days. Communication of any sort seems to have been lacking over the last few months although Gazza did at last do a site update notification a few days ago, the first since October, so maybe things will improve now.

I only hold my breath when I clean the cat litter box or have the hiccups. Neither does a lot of good. (If I'm sounding a bit grumpy, it's because I thought OH was over his mancrud, but is currently sleeping again. One of our hens disappeared two days ago. I miss my kids. I prefer selling here to other sites, but am trying to clear the castle. I miss my grandkids. I don't like winter.).

Since I've been here about 10 years, like many others, I have only tried to help the site be effective and helpful to us all. Their strongest asset has been, imho, their personalized help with problems and good communication. Tho I've really only sold YDC items in the past few years, I keep a presence here to help avoid anarchy ( lol) and because of all my friends. I did sell a 79 pence postcard the other day..............and got feedback! I know this place can work. And though hope springs eternal, it is feeling a bit wintery around with minimal communication, items disappearing, and disappearing off google searches. Hopefully da boyz get back in the saddle, get the strays rounded up, and this cattle drive back on the trail. Or, perhaps it's just my perceptions that are skewed.

Although I have no hens and no grandchildren ... I totally agree with what you have said and said much the same thing myself in this thread #5
