Default A problem for us all

I just asked a friend who collects postcards about buying anywhere but the obvious place. He replied that his most recent deal on here had resulted in "I'm sorry I sold it on the market leader". Enquiring about Delcampe, "The only time I bought there the same thing happened".

Oh dear! How will we keep buyers? I make mistakes but listing in two places when there is only one item? Ouch!

    I wouldn't risk that.

I totally agree that listing the same item in more than one place if you could not service simultaneous purchases on all is not a good idea.

The main problem it seems, in most cases, is that the seller is negligent and does not remove items from other sites as soon as it sells on one.

While it is possible that two purchases could be made simultaneously you would have to be very unlucky to be caught out by this. The first thing that should be done on a sale is to remove the item from sale elsewhere if you cannot fulfill another sale. Not to do so is poor selling practice and the seller deserves to be heavily sanctioned.

I agree - what offends me is that my friend who has previously bought from here - including from AnnieMcC - is now unwilling to buy here.

I dont cross list either and a FB group i am on has just banned it she said if she sees any item posted for sale elsewhere it will be removed, so it's happening everywhere, i would not change it if i didn't have two items the same.

It is very risky to list the same item on multiple sites. The seller must be very careful to delete from other websites if the item is sold. I agree with the other posts here.

The problem for us all as sellers is if the buyer sees this as an eBid problem and not an individual seller problem. Then all sellers here are painted with the same brush and we all are affected by the actions of a few.

To quote my friend "for postcards, it's mostly duplicates of what's listed on eBay"
