Thread: Urgent printer help please

  1. #1

    Default Urgent printer help please

    OxEA error showing!!!

There WAS a paper jam but there was no paper left in the printer as I managed to pull out the crumpled sheet. However, it is still showing the above error code and everything I have Googled hasn't helped.

Any help Please? I have just bought new inks costing nearly £30 so don't want to have to replace the whole caboodle.

Take out the mains lead to see if that clears the error code.

Done that,Gill. Unplugged, taken out lead etc.

There is no paper jam, but the printer obviously thinks there still is.

The crazy think is, I can buy a new printer for only £5 more than a set of inks would cost. Will have to consider it if this can't be fixed pronto.

If you're sure there's no paper jam are the inks seated correctly?

Yep, checked those. This only happened since the paper jam. The A4 sheet caught on something upon exit and buckled back upon itself. But I managed to pull the whole sheet out and there was no tear evident so nothing remaining inside.

It is an Epson XP-332 and, up until now, has been very reliable. To be fair, this is my fault for not clearing the desk in front of it.

Thanks, anyway, Gill, I appreciate your input.

It's just a thought but would you normally have to open up the printer to clear the jam? I have to open the back of mine and if you haven't done what would be the norm then the printer will still show the error code.
