I'm tempted to make a really offensive post - just to see if there is anyone alive in eBid Towers to delete it and ban me.

Starting to think that they have all done a bunk.

Is there any word about when we can expect to see the newsletter resume or is that something that has fallen by the wayside like other eBid related things seem to have done?

Hooray, I've got the latest newsletter. Am I the only one, I can't find any reference to it anywhere on the forum.

Welcome to the eBid March 2018 Newsletter.

    News from Gazza

Hi olivia8143, as Spring dawns once again I am happy to be sending you a copy of our latest newsletter. There has been a fair bit of technical goings-on in the background over the past few months which we hope didn't cause too much upheaval to you all. We tried to minimize the downtime to the bare minimum, hopefully most of you didn't notice.
I'll take a little time to go over some of eBid's new additions to help you get to know them a little and hopefully help you to start using them when you list new items for sale in the coming days and weeks.
    1) Product Attributes new

Our first new addition is what we call "Product Attributes". These are small additional traits or facts about your product that can be added when it is listed. For example :

    • For CDs you can add a Genre.
    • For Shoes, Size and Colour can be added.
    • For Books, Subject and Book Type (Paperback/Hardback) options are available.
    • For External Hard Drives the Capacity attribute can be added.

Product Attributes ensure buyers are able to find what they are looking for on eBid much easier, filtering out the items they don't wish to see. Product Attributes are also visible to the buyer on the listing details page to ensure buyers have all the information they need to make a purchase they will be satisfied with. When you list an item for sale any relevant Produt Attributes can be selected from the dropdown menus that will appear on the form, just select those that are relevant to your item.
    2) Product Variations new

Product Variations are inextricably linked to our new Product Attributes function and are in effect an extension of that. We've been asked for a long time now how a seller can list an item for sale when that item has many different variations or versions such as size or colour. With Product Variations this is now possible.
To list with Product Variations simply create a new listing and under the Product Attributes section you will see a button asking "Multiple Variations to Sell?", clicking on this will open our new "Variations Wizard" where you can select the different attributes you wish to use, eg. Size only or Size & Colour etc.
Set different prices, quantities, photos and barcodes for each combination. You may have 20 grey+small t-shirts and only 5 grey+medium. We'll keep track of which items are purchased and the stock levels for you. All your different variations on one listing page instead of multiple separate listings makes it much easier for shoppers to find the item they are looking for.
    3) Import Items from eBay new

As thousands of you have experienced over the years we have allowed you to import your items from eBay via our eBid Ninja Lister desktop software. Our latest set of updates includes our much improved importer. Check it out in the "My eBid > My Bulk Upload" area of our website. We've made it much simpler and now does not require any exported data files from Turbo Lister. Just a couple of clicks, add any discount you may want to add to your prices due to you taking advantage of eBid's awesome low fees and you're done. We'll be improving this great new facility over time.
    4) Bing Shopping Uploads new

For many years we have been promoting all your eligible products on Google Shopping at no extra cost. Many, many thousands of you have taken advantage of this great little eBid perk to obtain sales. Well, we are glad to announce we are now trialling uploads to Bing Shopping (Microsoft's Google alternative). Again we will require barcodes (UPC/EAN/ISBN) and a BuyNow price and photo. The trials are for the UK and USA currently and open to SELLER+ Lifetime account holders.
    Picks of the Month
Conn Eb tuba, ca 1882, rare and early $500.00
Rare Hoya Frosted Satin Crystal Horse Mantel Desk Clock Seiko Movement $299.00
14k Natural Turquoise and Black Onyx Necklace /SOLID Gold Filigree Clasp & Beads A$540.00
Queen Victoria Autograph, Original Hand Signed Display £365.00
    Competition Time

    Last Newsletter's Question :

How much did the recent US Soccer Team auctions raise for charity?

    a) around $5,000
    b) around $10,000
    c) around $20,000
The correct answer was (c) around $20,000.
There obviously wasn't a winner in the last competition as I can't find a name anywhere (and, when was the last competition anyway?)
