Thread: Exporting data to spreadsheet for editing

  1. #1

Question Exporting data to spreadsheet for editing

Every time I EXPORT to spreadsheet to make edits to my listings and then upload, the same 256 items are not overwritten. These were previously AUCTION items. I have purposely left the relevant columns empty. What am I doing wrong?
    Thank you

Are you changing the content of column Z to 'o' for 'overwrite (or 'ao' for 'add/overwrite')?

I received an email this morning saying eBid was deleting duplicated listings and now I only have TWO listings LIVE (out of 2099). HELP!

re #5 In reply to my inquiry to support there is a message saying I have 2101 live listings. This must include the 2 items which remained after the 2099 were deleted. I expect an eMail re duplicate listings have been deleted any moment now. ;-)

Another BULK UPLOAD after editing 2099 items says incorrect subcategory please choose another subcategory. I have NO subcategories. I have tried formatting the column with GENERAL, NUMBER and TEXT: nothing seems to work.
    Thanks for any advice.

Not clear what you are trying to do (more detail would help) so not sure if this is relevant:

You cannot place items into an eBid root category that itself has subcategories defined.

E.g. You cannot list an item in the root category Computing; it must go in one of the subcategories of Computing.

That could be it! I'll give it a go later. Thing is I uploaded a spreadsheet with all my listings on and it worked. Exported it, did some editing, uploaded again and it rejected most of it. The only editing I did was pricing.
Instead of using subcategories I lump them in "Other".
    Thanks for the reply.
