Ignored, then yesterday a payment for £2931.36 for no sale from same person. Just email supplied. It was a pending echeque. I cancelled. it. Reported to Paypal vai help on Twitter but no response. Have now reported this to Action Fraud. I believe my email address was accessed via ebid., so now changing Paypal account. Anyone experience of this? Thanks.

P.S. Notice any correlation in dates above between thread postings, and Vermillion's opening post date (November 18, 2017) and opening post message? I do. Also absence of posting about the problem during October, may reflect tiredness or disgust in complaining about a problem that is not being addressed in a serious manner.

I didn't make it clear -- I was referring only to this specific instance. The scenario appeared to be that there was an attempt to use Paypal fraudulently, and subsequently there was an attempt to use Vermillion's credit card fraudulently. Perhaps the two are linked, perhaps they're not. If I suffer two burglaries it's not necessarily the same criminal, I need to keep an open mind.
