Default New Stamp category required for Aitutaki

Continuing my listings I have come across that there is no specific place for Aitutaki which presumably currently goes in pacific islands within Australia & Oceania but there should imo be a separate listing id for Aitutaki within the Australia & Oceania folder

Even if we get a new category, will sellers use it?

If we had properly organised categories then eBid could make a fuss about it?

I agree that the stamp categories could do with some reorganisation but even where the categories are reasonably well organised (much of British Commonwealth) there are many stamps listed in the wrong category. To quote just one example. Bahamas is split into "up to 1973" and "1973 and after". There are well over 100 stamps issued after 1973 which are listed in "up to 1973. I would have thought it was simple to list in the right category.

Or better not to split the category.
Buyers tend to look in Bahamas, full stop. It is keen philatelists that will categorize into pre and post independence

The best logical category is Cook Islands along with the other 14 islands of the Cook Islands. I would not want to see Cook Islands divided into 15 subcategories, and in any case many Aitutaki stamps are marked Cook Islands.

I don't think that buyers will choose Cook Islands in the categories, but then my buyers seem to do search and find for Aitutaki, if that is what they want.

I would want to look at pre-independence issues in British Commonwealth. I would prefer the listings to be seperated as I don't want to have to wade through a lot of stamps I am not interested in. The present system would be fine if sellers put the stamps in the correct category

The pre/post independence thing could be simplified by the use of an item specific - British empire/commonweath?
