    Default Display Glitch

In some cases the display does not match the instructions on screen.

On a seller's listings page (e.g. https://www.ebid.net/uk/items/20sent06) are the instructions:

Use the categories on the left or search box to refine

but the categories list 'Their Subcategories' is not being displayed and is hidden behind the icon at top-right. Even when you click the icon the list appears above the text and not to the left.

Rotating the device from portrait to landscape does not correct the display (plus the icon disappears leaving no way to access the list) and you have to refresh the page to correct it.

We've changed the text to remove the reference to the left column.
    Thx,

LOL (literally). That's one solution I suppose.

Though it doesn't fix the second example where there becomes no way to get the Their Subcategories list.

If the page is reloaded then the menu button will appear.

After changing orientation mid-browse it is always advisable to reload to ensure the website loads the page accordingly.

Yes, I noted above in #1 that refreshing the page fixed things.

Most websites and apps seem able to cope with a device being rotated and responsively adjust the display to suit. A shame that eBid doesn't seem able to and doesn't appear to have had the UI designed using the 'Mobile First' principle - many pages going squiffy* when displayed on smaller screens/viewports.
