Thread: Site changes - first impressions

I just finished my morning eBid chores. Running much faster, steamlined look with no clutter, no problems of any kind. Good job! This must have been a massive rewrite.

I'm running the newest version of Windows 10, on FireFox.

Just went to do some relists, I don't know if it's just me or if it's because the spaces are wider apart, but have the gallery thumbnail pics shrunk ? They seem so tiny now, maybe I just need to go to specsavers ?!

Even if they haven't shrunk can they be made any bigger Gazza ? They seem so tiny compared to the big glossy thumbnails on other sites.

By the way I tried listing a couple of things this afternoon and was very impressed by the new burst of speed. Well done HQ, great job !

Phew, glad it's not just me. I was squinting trying to make out what a piece of jewellery was that I was relisting, it could have been anything looking at the thumbnail !

viewing items i'm selling the thumbnails have shrunk same in searches, i would say a fair bit, seems to be a trade off with more compact pages which i like, if they could enlarge the thumbnails a bit but keeping the more compact page that would be great,

We have thumbnails in many many places throughout the site, can you let me know exactly what page you're referring to.

    Thanks,

The thumbnails in gallery are minute compared to previously. I put an item into the search box and when the listings came up in gallery mode it was a struggle to see them as Cornish has said.

for example, here's a screenshot of some brooches in gallery view: and here in a forum post they are actually easier to see than on the main site !!!

    Thanks,
    Gazza

when i look on page "Listings im running " the thumbnails are certainly smaller than 24hrs ago, at the bottom of the same page is "items i recently viewed" the thumbnails here are bigger than my listing thumbnails.

Thanks Sid, all depends on your screen resolution as well, running a website today isnt the same as it used to be. Every change we make has to be tested in 5 different screen variations. Can you let me know how you are viewing the site and I will try and replicate and get back to you.

    Thx
