AirBnB have just sent me a reminder to leave Feedback/review for the rental we used last week in Vancouver.

BUT I don't get to see the rental owner's Feedback/review until I've posted mine!

In these circumstances I wouldn't give any feedback.

Of course, in the case of items being sold at auction, any cooling off period would not apply since auction law makes the placing of a bid entering into a binding contract if that bid is accepted as the winning bid.
The exceptions are in the link (which is why I added it for US sellers) and include "made entirely online, or by mail or telephone"

The strangest feedback situation I have encountered was when I booked a room at a B&B through a third party site (I think it was probably laterooms, but can't remember). The site requested feedback from me, but did not publish it until the B&B management had approved it. They Did, but it makes a bit of a joke of the system. I could understand if they had been sent my details and asked to confirm that I had actually stayed there, but that was not the case.

Okay! So the cooling-off period rule does not apply to sales made on eBid in the US. Good to know.
