I had to actually email them with alt. methods of payment - otherwise they would have canceled the sale. In one case. the customer did try to call ppp, but said they could not get through. Any chance of clarifying the whole "secret security fee" part for the first time buyer - because at the moment this is turning customers away from the site - and my business! Many thanks, Peter
My fee was around 40p, but if you want / need more specific info about PPPay it would be best to contact eBid's support team through the eBid Help tab at the top of this page. (eBid own both PPPay and Snapagogo).

Long time no see/read/type but I saw the PPPay question and have only just got back around to listing here on eBid (although we still have the bookshop listings running) so I have included PPPay option this time to see how it goes. I registered years ago and found it helpful during things like YDC and sales between regulars within the trading community here, so now I'm thinking it may be good to try it again in the hope more people have registered. I'm still only a Bronze member but will look into upgrading to Silver if things progress in the right direction. Previously, my problems with the payment system involved new members having difficulties registering and verifying their accounts.

I remember that name. Good to see you back here.

Bronze and Silver memberships are long gone (before even my arrival here). You are showing as Seller+, but I can't tell if that is Seller+ Lifetime or not.

eBid did offer some membership discounts to those that supported the site during its startup years. Might be worth checking at https://www.ebid.net/uk/perl/account...y-credit-cards to see if there is a gift package waiting there for you if you are not Seller+ Lifetime.

I know those that had Gold memberships got one, but am not sure about the other old membership levels.

Wow now there's a blast from the past, welcome back nykmedia, certainly is a long time no see !

I think they have speeded up the registration for PPPay now so that is good. However I tried to pay for something not long ago and it gave me an error message 'Error CHE-B4'. I reported it on the glitch forum but never got a reply so I just hope it has been fixed.

I think nyk is referring to the bronze / silver on PPPay not eBid membership Mel.

Just shows how out of touch with PPPay I am.

(Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain)

Yes, I was referring to my PPPay membership - I've been a Seller+ or equivalent for almost decades here. LOL Thanks for the welcome back! Nice to see a few familiar names still here.
