Default Buyer no longer active after paying.

I had a new buyer buy and pay £1.34 last night, and this morning when I come to post, they are no longer active; strike through the name.

I guess I refund on paypal!

What makes this sale appear to be a scam?

For a sale value of £1.34 you could just send the item (a stamp maybe) to their PayPal address.
or do they still owe you for the cost of postage?

I didn't say this particular transaction was a scam but the one I had two nights ago was, where I had £1,500 in a pending echeque put into my Paypal account after a Russian sale here with a different name on the payment.

Obviously something is wrong though as other people are reporting small sales last night and eBid have closed the buyers account .

I've just had another small sale for £2.99 and this time just 1p was put into my Paypal account, which I've refunded ! The eBid auction patrol had crossed the buyers name out straight away. What is going on at the moment ?!

My buyer was from USA, before the address was removed by Ebid.

    New development in this saga.

Paypal inform me that the buyer's bank refused the reversal, so Paypal are holding on to the money for the time being.
