Default Why is Showroom view a fixed default?

    .

I dislike the Showroom display view intensely and it is extremely annoying to have to constantly change to Gallery view every time I come online and wish to view items comfortably to me.

Why does Showroom automatically reset as a fixed default?

    Choice would be wonderful!
If I could change to Gallery just once and have it stay that way I would be really happy.

Please can this be put into effect?

    Thank You.

I thought the selection was 'sticky'. Do you delete cookies after each session?

Just checked on my main PC - which has the tools to do the job...

The selection is held in an eBid cookie name v_f1 with a content of either list, gallery, or showroom.

So, unless you are deleting cookies between sessions, your selection should be remembered across sessions.

My eBid > My eBid Stores > choose store > Section 2) Store Details, Status and Colors > Store Default View > (drop down menu) Gallery
Scroll down a bit and hit the UPDATE SECTION 2 blue button.

That's for how buyers see your store by default. I thought the query was how Pingu saw the site generally.

I clear Cookies at the end of each day, not per session. I've just returned online (desktop) and my gallery preference has held fine. If I use an alternative kit (kindle/ laptop/tablet) I have to mess about resetting views again each time.

Oh Astral! lol! I haven't a clue what you're talking about re cookie content, ROFL!!!

So between sessions it holds, otherwise it doesn't. (because eBid has the default as Showroom and I prefer to clean off my computer nightly - why should I have to trade?).

I'm not talking about the Store Default View Jan. I'm talking about eBid's default browsing view.

Also - why would folk prefer to view by scanning across a few items then scroll down a bit to get the next row(s) in view - then scan across, scroll down, scan across, scroll down ad infinitum, ad nauseum......

to me it is far easier (am I just being lazy?) to regularize eyes down as I scroll.... one eye direction and movement is far preferable to me than 2...................... why should eBid want to make hard work of it for everyone? Who says (is it proven?) that folk prefer to look at items in the Showroom style? If it were easier on the eye then perhaps viewers would stick around and look at more stuff?

Back to the beginning ~ (I hate rocking horse stuff with a passion!) ~ choice is a wonderful thing.... can I please have the freedom to choose which default view I wish to use?

    Thank you.
