    Default suspicious bid removal

I received an email from Ebid:

    Hi Dr Bill Hopkinson,

We have serious concerns about the user's intentions surrounding their successful bid of your listing :

    Listing Title

    Listing ID

Please do not correspond or send goods to this user.

We recommend you cancel the sale and relist the item for sale if it was a single item sale.

Please understand that we have not taken this action lightly.

This action has been taken to protect you. Due to privacy concerns we will not be able to share further details relating to this bidder or the reasons behind our decision.

You can cancel the sale, relist this item here :
It is good to know these things are taken care of by Ebid. First time I have had an email like this
    Rev Dr Bill Hopkinson,
    Retired professor

around 50000 stamps listed, based in London

I had an incident like this in the past, it turned out the bidder was working on an oil rig in the middle of the sea so of course his computer didn't match up with where he lived ! I was able to make the sale in the end though. It is good that eBid pick up on these things to protect us from fraud.

I had the same thing happen to me a few years ago. Good job eBid for protecting our interests!
