    Default Contact seller after auction

Morning - I just set up an eBid account because I want to contact a seller to ask him to relist an item that did not sell. (He has no current listings.) There does not seem to be any PM option. How can I email him?

    Cheers,

    Chris

You can only contact a seller through a live listing unless you have their email from a previous purchase/sale.

eBid doesn't release names, addresses & contact details to prospective buyers.

You could try sending a private message via the eBid forums to the sellers username. If they have been active on the forums they might respond.

That's a great idea Cornishmaid! Thank you. Although the seller isn't active here, I'm hoping an automated email will alert him anyway. Or something... (Thanks for your reply too Annie - I figured, but the 'Send question to seller' dialogue should still work, if it's displayed.)

    Anyway, here's hoping!

    Thanks again Cornishmaid,

    Chris

My pleasure. Hope you get hold of them, it might make them think about coming back to sell on eBid again too !

Morning Cornishmaid - nice to see you again. (Youmues: he does sell on eBay but I don't know his ID.)

He just sent me this message:

'I did indeed have some crashbars on here but they were also on eBay and sold there. Unfortunately I have never sold anything on eBid except when I've directed the customer to it, so I tend not to bother with it too much.
It's a great pity because it's so much cheaper, but there you go.

Sorry you missed the bars, but if I get any more they will be on eBay first.'

Well, there's a kicker! At least your idea worked Cornishmaid - he did get my PM & replied. Still, having 'never sold anything on eBid except when directing a customer to it' does not bode well. (He has 135 rating and been here since 2012.) Indeed, I've never been here before at all...

It was worth a punt but, alas, no joy. But thanks for your help boys and girls - especially Cornishmaid.

    Cheers,

    Chris
