Default Contacting Skrill to close account but denied access to site.

Hi, After reading about problems between Srill and eBid I have decided to say bye bye to Skrill. Which has always been a problem to me.

Each time I access it I experience problems, this time is no different.... Having successfully logged on to my account I am now prohibited from progressing further as they have introduced something called 2 factor log-in,

According to them I am supposed to download some BS app onto my phone so that I can be sent a code, the problem is that the app will not download to my phone. I have looked around there site and there is no way of contacting them without logging in. I have heard of security, but that is just ridiculous. Does anyone know of any way of contacting them please.

The sooner I get rid of their crap systems the better I will feel.

    Thanks.

The email address they used when answering me last time was merchantservices@skrill.com so you could try that lofty.

Edit to say I just tried to get into my account and got the same message but under the app bit there is another option to set a six figure pin instead and I've managed to get into my account using that.

Well I have finally had a response from Skrill (it only took them 3 days), not very impressed with the speed or the answer it seems that they cannot be trusted. As they are refusing to refund my money, (despite what they seem to think it IS MY MONEY NOT theirs). Surly they have a legal responsibility to refund.

Thank you for contacting the Skrill Help Team.

We are sorry to hear that you’ve decided to close your Skrill account.

Please note that unfortunately, your remaining balance of 0.20 p is too little to be withdrawn to a bank account or refunded. Here are some options on how you can use your balance:

    1. Make a payment to a merchant who accepts Skrill and choose to pay from your Skrill balance.
    2. Send the funds to another personal Skrill account holder by logging in and selecting 'Send Money'

To close your account, please make sure that there is no available balance in the account and then visit the following section where you will be able to close your account: Settings >> Account Settings >> Account Status.

Skrill values your feedback, so if you think there’s something we can do to keep you as an active customer, please let us know.

    Best regards,

Thankfully, I've never used Skrill but I had a similar problem with Nationwide. I had about £4 in a savings account and the minimum withdrawal was £250. I had to deposit £250 and withdraw £254 to close the account - crazy.
