I hate talking to the politically illiterate who get their opinions direct from the Daily Mail but here goes:
May won more seats but neither gained a majority. It's a much better result for Corbyn and there are a number of reasons why.

1) May should have gained at least a 50 seat majority considering that a) the entire mainstream media supported her and ran hysterical opinion pieces on Corbyn on an almost hourly basis and b) Labour and Corbyn's poll ratings were terrible and not helped by the self-destructive PLP coup last year and all the ridiculous infighting/briefing against Corbyn over the last 2 years. The result was a miracle and if for example, Angela Eagle or Owen Smith had ousted Corbyn as leader last summer, May would have wiped out Labour.

2) Losing her majority and having a confidence and supply arrangement with the DUP puts her in an extraordinarily vulnerable position for a number of very obvious reasons. She's now in alliance with evangelical religious bigoted, racist, corrupt nutjobs who can't be trusted and May's undeserved reputation of being 'strong and stable' is now up on smoke. She is now in a 'coalition of chaos' and her soundbite for Corbyn is being used against her.

3) The Good Friday Agreement is in jeopardy as a result of the confidence and supply agreement with the DUP.

4) She had no power to reshuffle her cabinet and is in a very tenuous negotiating position concerning the Brexit Talks. The EU will give her a **** deal that she'll be forced to accept.

5) The Tories cannot smear Corbyn on the basis of alleged terrorist affiliations when they're in a close relationship with a political party with verified terrorist links. Getting into bed with the DUP is a PR nightmare.

6) All Corbyn has to do is sit back and wait for the Conservatives to hit the self-destruct button and that won't be long. Maybe 6 months at most.

If there's an election in 6-12 months, Corbyn and Labour will win by a landslide.
