    Default Craft Categories?

When did they change them? I always try to "sell similar" and hadn't noticed the change

I haven't a clue but I've given up with crafts now until if and when it is sorted.

I don't sell handmade goods here & my shop is large enough for people to browse but, as you can tell, I'm infuriated with this change which I hadn't even noticed. However, I had noticed a drop in sales...

I don't know about the crafts as I don't sell many items there but I noticed the vast category changes in collectables and a few in the pottery section when I was changing my postage rates at the end of March. The collectables section is a nightmare to navigate now trying to find the right category to put things in as it's huge !

Yes... Johnwash's comment about losing the will to live is apposite. The whole way we select sub-categories using a drop down is clunky.

Maybe the problem is that they've not thought of a better way. I'm tempted to suggest having a look at the way eBay has done it for the last 10-20 years! Except I know that would just harden the resolve not to do it that way.

C'mon. Sometimes letting go of "Not Invented Here" syndrome and just accepting that it's more effective to do it the way it's done on other sites... it may be hard, but it's worth it. Honestly guys, we'd respect you for it.

Clearly your implementation skills are well up to the challenge.

Damn! I've just seen this thread is in the Kitchen Table, so the lads aren't going to see it. Madelaine: are you able to move the thread to one of the Website improvement forums here?

My point on the Categories Suggestion thread - see Needle Felting. But I seem to remember 'suggesting' this many years ago and - obviously - it was ignored.
