    Default Handmade goods!

Can I try again? The handmade goods category being buried under Crafts is crazy. The people who look at Crafts are makers. The people who buy Handmade goods tend not to be. Please consider this. It is almost certainly not helping sales for those who make stuff.

Similarly, knitting patterns do not belong in category for Handmade & Sewing. Crafts>Needlework>Knitting & Sewing>Patterns would be more appropriate and easier to find. Handmade infers that the item is ready made and leaves itself open to buyers expecting the finished item instead of the pattern.

The whole knitting category needs vastly pairing down. It's a mess!

I've put this here because it is an organisation matter, not a request for a new category

I have a similar gripe about wedding dresses being under Occaisional & Seasonal which is the paper & party goods category!

Will post separately about this though.

Oh, and Greetings cards being in 3 seperate categories......

Wasn't asking for a new category. Like you, I was having a gripe.

Well, I don't expect any change so I suppose I'm griping too. But if we don't keep reminding eBid Towers about this, it certainly won't change

I support all your gripes. Now for mine. There seems to be a category for every known barbie doll year yet the biggest selling doll here in Oz is Baby Born and I have to select dolls clothes other.

That is definitely one you should request - presenting it on the category request board in the approved format

Exactly, Madelaine. Which is why I was having a gripe. No point at all asking for a new/revised category until they are pared down to make more sense.
