    Red face Revitalising Buddy points

Whilst I appreciate Buddy Points are a free extra that we are grateful for, they do, to my mind, seem to have become stagnant of late. A couple of years ago there was an interesting range of items available in addition to the eBid branded garments. Now there is very little on offer and for those who don’t wear T-Shirts or Baseball caps you are left with a shopping bag! Please eBid would you please review what is on offer with the aim to revitalising the offerings on Buddy points.

At the same time please can you allow sellers to get buddy points even if the buyer does not leave feedback

I agree with the suggestions of having packing tape as an option (Including for cash sales). Also it is hardly the seller's fault if the buyer does not know how to or cannot be bothered to leave feedback.

There used to be a few higher value items like remote drives, cameras etc.

I agree tape is good for Sellers but maybe not so much for buyers.

The Buddy points system needs a complete overhaul. The present system does nothing to encourage active sellers and buyers. It only encourages members to register with various social media. The first nine members on the Buddy Point leaderboard have no feedback. I would favour decreasing or removing the number of points for social media involvement and increasing the number of points for feedback and sales.
At present, I think the Buddy points system is, at best, an irrelevance.

I agree. The current system just attracts people to sign up and get 100 free Buddy Pooints, get a few T Shirst then go. They don't have to have any intent to buy or sell on the site.

And, if we are doing something about it, can we change the name? It makes me want to puke!

As I write, all of the top ten on the buddy point leader have zero feedback. Is it now time to scrap the buddy point system? I' m not sure it serves any useful purpose.
