Default Skrill - 30 minute maintenance period scheduled

FYI - email just received from Skrill Merchant Support [I don't have a Merchant account!]

    Dear Merchant,

We will be performing maintenance to the Skrill system on Wednesday 19 April 2017 between 02:30 UTC and 03:00 UTC.

During this time, you and your customers may experience intermittent disruptions when accessing Skrill and its services. These services include logging in to the Skrill website and processing transactions via our API.

Due to the nature of the planned work, please check that your system allows the following Skrill network ranges on your firewalls for your inbound traffic: 91.208.28.0/24 and 193.105.47.0/24.

No change is required regarding your outbound traffic against Skrill public services.

We regret any inconvenience this may cause. Should you have any questions, please contact the Skrill Merchant Support team.

Thanks for that Annie, I too have Skrill personal account but have heard nothing from them. Typically of geeks they don't explain themselves in plain English.

Are you sure it wasn't a phishing email? Did you check the headers and verify it really did come from where it purported to, and avoid clicking on any links, especially ones that invite you to log in?

No, not a phishing email - it came from Skrill.

I had one too at the same time as Annie so it wasn't a phishing one.

I accept that you've both made other checks, so this is kosher.

But the idea that the makers of phishing emails are sitting in a pine-clad workshop somewhere in the mountains, individually crafting their mails and sending them out lovingly packed in ...

When I receive a phishing email I guarantee you 100,000 others are receiving the same one! So your logic is flawed, Becky, sorry.

I'm quite aware of that thank you. I had done checks and was merely agreeing with Annie that it wasn't a phishing one. https://www.hostmalabar.in/clients/a...scheduled.html

Well, that would have been much better evidence, instead of just agreeing.

    Glad it's all ok.
