    Default Mobile app

    I downloaded the ebid app today despite all the bad reviews it had. Once I had it installed on my phone, I logged into my acct & it was very slow & half or more of the buttons did not work. The only thing I could do with the app was to scroll up & down the page. Now I see why the app only has a 3 star rating.

    Having bought a newer (to me) cell phone recently I re-installed this to find that the same limitations that I had with the old phone were still present (mainly the difficulty getting through to the forums).

    It seems to me that it needs upgrading, however as it was on Gazza's wish-list just before the API (which as far as I know still hasn't appeared) I figure it is unlikely to happen any time soon.

    I deleted mine 5 minutes after installing it. Most people use mobile devices these days & all the reviews i read, people were put off by the app not working & stated they would not use ebid because the app was not working. ebid really needs to step up their game & get the app working.
    A working app = More sellers with a variety of items & more buyers.

    I thought the app was slightly more workable than running ebid on internet on my phone.

    Wouldn't actually use either. The app need to strip back to essentials more, and have more of an activity stream approach.

    I give up with the app.

    For those wanting an App on Android, log into the site (Remember forever) from your browser (I used Chrome), and select "options" > "Add to home screen"

    This will place an icon to the site on your desktop that you can use as an app.

    @Gazza, really great site and potential. Please sort a native app out with BASIC functions ASAP, you cannot rely on someone doing this for you with your API. You need minimum:
    - Log-in
    - Search (& filter results)
    - Ask seller a question
    - Place a Bid
    - (Seller) Respond to questions

    At a later stage, add further features but you will not increase your user base if they cant search for what they want to buy! eBid is like having a shop front with frosted glass at the moment.
